Liisa Korpela

Liisa Korpela is an herbalist who teaches and practices in Eugene, OR. She is also the founder of Bella Botanica, a natural health & beauty company. For over 18 years, she has been passionate about plants and educating others about supportive, sustainable practices for living on earth.

Liisa was raised in Columbus, Ohio by Finnish parents. In 1990, she moved to the lush Pacific Northwest town of Eugene to begin her studies at the University of Oregon. In 1995, she received two degrees, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textile and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

After graduation, Liisa began to delve more intimately into the world of plants by working with native flora, ecosystems, propagation, and gardening in the Pacific Northwest. She also began her formal herbal studies at the Blue Iris School of Botanical Studies, Columbine School of Botanical Studies and most recently is studying to be a Certified Women's Herbal Educator under Dr. Aviva Romm.

Since 1999, Liisa began working with Shamanic Journeys, ltd. and owner Nicki Scully, author and founder of Alchemical Healing; a shamanistic healing form. After becoming a teacher and practitioner of Alchemical Healing, Liisa's work has evolved to include the intelligence of nature and plant spirit medicine.

Liisa has traveled extensively in the 90's, co-leading eco-tours to Costa Rica. Most recently, she has served as Tour Assistant for Shamanic Journeys, ltd. guiding adventures for personal and spiritual growth through Egypt and Peru's sacred sites.

Blending the art and science of herbalism, Liisa inspires others to build relationships with nature and to learn holistic ways to care for their body, mind, and spirit.
